Unrehearsed poster 2013

For the third time, I have the privilege of directing and co-producing a show for The Sarah Grace Foundation for Children with Cancer. This incredible organization, run by the Weippert family of Hicksville, helps children and their families overcome the challenges and hardships brought upon by childhood cancer. I’ve known the Weipperts for several years now, and they work tirelessly, and voluntarily, on this very personal crusade.

“Unrehearsed” is a comedy improv show in the style of “Whose Line is it Anyway?”, the popular television show. Our performers will be playing various improv “games”, with situations given to them by a host. They have no idea what they’re going to be doing, or even which performers will be participating in each game. Those of you who were at our fundraiser last August will be familiar with this type of performance..

Last year, when I first did an improv show for the foundation, it was successful and extremely funny. The performers are tremendously talented (you may recognize some from MCT productions) and have been performing together for years.

This year, the board of MCT and I have decided to cross-promote this event – not only because members of MCT are involved, but also because we believe in this cause. We’re all proud to help this foundation and what it stands for.

Please see the show poster above. Tickets can be purchased in advance at http://thesarahgracefoundation.org/shop-donate/, or at the door. All money goes directly to help children with cancer and their families.

I look forward to seeing you at one, or both, of the shows. After all, in improv, it’s never the same show twice.
